About Us

Our work is vital as it empowers vulnerable tribal children in Kodaikanal by ensuring access to education, healthcare, & protection from child labor & marriage, fostering a brighter, safer future.

Child Voice works towards the sustainable development of children and their families. A UK-based volunteer, witnessing the condition of tribal children living in Kodaikanal region, seeded the necessity for an organization that would work exclusively for their welfare. Ever since, our organization became a voice for children living in absolute poverty and negligence. We initiated our activities by providing healthcare facilities for children living in tribal areas. We have expanded our activities and supported many children by providing access to education, healthcare facilities, developing their skills, awareness programmes, and rescuing them from child marriage, child labor and bonded labor practices. Child Voice is a non-profit organization founded in 2011, dedicated to empowering and protecting children, particularly in rural and marginalized communities. It aims to create a safe, supportive environment where children can thrive. The organization addresses critical issues such as child marriage, child labor, school dropouts, child abuse, adolescent health, and poverty. By forming and strengthening Adolescent Action Groups, Community Support Groups, and self-help groups (SHGs), Child Voice promotes awareness and community-driven solutions to these challenges. A unique aspect of Child Voice’s work is its focus on fostering sustainable community participation. It has formed federations like the Community Support Group Federation, which addresses collective issues, including advocating for essential infrastructure like schools. Training of Trainers (TOT) sessions and counseling services empower local leaders and vulnerable children, ensuring grassroots impact. The organization also links families to government welfare schemes, facilitates livelihood opportunities, and strengthens workplace safety for women through advocacy and compliance support. Child Voice’s holistic approach combines community engagement, systemic advocacy, and capacity building, ensuring long-term support for children’s rights, health, and education. By addressing root causes and empowering communities, Child Voice is committed to creating lasting change and fostering a brighter future for children.
